My background is in the hospitality industry. I have worked in weddings and events for over ten years in various roles. I love being able to enhance someone’s event or occasion! You would think that is what inspired my path into wine, but that began just for me, as just a hobby. I took my first class with American Sommelier in July of 2014 and though I had intended to take only that one class for fun, I learned so much and truly enjoyed learning about wine, that I decided to delve deeper into their class offerings. Their classes enabled me to pass the Court of Master Sommelier’s first level exam, and I am currently working on Level 2 of the 4. My years in hospitality have afforded me a smooth transition into this glorious world of wine!
